Specification license

The Open Video Menu specification documents, JSON Schema and profiles in this spec/ folder are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Credit: "Open Video Menu specification, by Tyson Treasure and contributors, openvideomenu.org".

Royalty-free. Anyone may implement the format in any software, free or commercial, without paying a fee and without asking permission.

Patents. Tyson Treasure makes each published version of the specification available under the Open Web Foundation Final Specification Agreement 1.0 (OWFa 1.0): a royalty-free promise covering the whole specification, so implementing it needs no patent license from the editor. Contributors to spec/ make the same commitment for their contributions (see CONTRIBUTING.md).

The reference code in this repository is licensed under Apache-2.0 (see /LICENSE), which includes a patent grant from contributors.
